After signing consent, the collection of medical data which are important for lung cancer research begins. This includes data such as; age, gender, blood results, tumour characteristics, imaging and the nature and outcomes of the treatment.
The patient can give optional consent for:
- completing questionnaires about quality of life;
- storage of blood and tumour tissue for future research;
- to be approached for participation in new scientific studies;
- informed about coincidental findings that may increase the risk of genetic diseases;
- invited for public meeting(s) to share the results of this project.
