DuTOC processes your personal data because you use the contact form or contact us yourself. We also collect limited data about your activities on our website (see also the heading cookies).

DuTOC processes your personal data for the following purposes:
Through the DuTOC website, you can contact, ask questions and read information about the DuTOC project.
You can participate in the DuTOC project if you read and understand Dutch, are 18 years of age or older and have been told despite, or where there is a strong suspicion, that you have cancer that is in the chest cavity. To do so, you must sign a consent form. Signing will take place at the hospital where you are being treated. And therefore signing is not possible via the website.
As a result, our website and/or service does not intend to collect data from website visitors under 16 years of age. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years old. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without consent, please contact us at dutoc@umcutrecht.nl and we will remove this information.
How long do we store personal data
DuTOC stores your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected.
If you enter your data in the contact form or contact us, it is automatically deleted after 6 months.
Information about your activities, via Google Analytics, on our website are kept for a maximum of 14 months.
Sharing personal data with third parties
DuTOC does not share this personal data with third parties.

DuTOC uses only technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy, via Google Analytics cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website.

You can send a request to inspect, correct, delete your personal data or request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to dutoc@umcutrecht.nl.
We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
Patients can also contact the complaints officer/complaints committee of the hospital where they are under treatment.

DuTOC takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
